Premium Roulette Pro is the Playtech table UK operators push first, and it’s a tidy one: single zero, 35:1, two camera angles, a stats panel. It’s also one of four games sharing the “Premium” badge, and they aren’t interchangeable. One has La Partage, one has a racetrack, one is American and should be avoided. This page covers Pro in full, then sorts out the siblings so you pick the right tile. Where to play for real money first.

Where to play Premium Roulette Pro for real money
Any UKGC casino running Playtech’s RNG suite carries it; it’s been observed at Ladbrokes, and the bookmaker-owned brands are the safest bet. Ratings below are ours. The wider list of real-money roulette sites in the UK is on its own page.
Same game everywhere; limits differ. Check the table panel, because the maximums reported for this title are all over the place.
What Premium Roulette Pro is
A European RNG wheel from Playtech, part of the Premium family that arrived around 2015–2016 to replace the older Roulette Pro from June 2012. Playtech doesn’t publish a release date for the Premium version, so that’s third-party. 37 pockets, one zero, standard mat.
What you get on top: Change View (two angles), table colour in green, red or blue, wheel direction, Fast Play, up to four saved favourite bets, hot/cold stats and a Rebet & Spin button. All useful, none of them change the maths.
What you don’t get: a racetrack. No Voisins, no Tiers, no neighbours, no finales. That’s the odd part, because the 2012 Roulette Pro had one-click call bets and the Premium rebuild dropped them. If you play sectors, this isn’t your table; 3D Roulette Premium in the same family keeps the full racetrack.
Odds, RTP and what £5 a spin costs
97.30%, reported by every source we’ve checked and the only figure a plain single-zero wheel with 35:1 can have. Playtech doesn’t put the RTP on a public game page, so it’s third-party. 2.70% edge on every bet.
| Bet | Numbers | Payout | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight-up | 1 | 35:1 | 2.70% |
| Split | 2 | 17:1 | 2.70% |
| Street | 3 | 11:1 | 2.70% |
| Corner | 4 | 8:1 | 2.70% |
| Six line | 6 | 5:1 | 2.70% |
| Column / Dozen | 12 | 2:1 | 2.70% |
| Red/Black, Odd/Even, High/Low | 18 | 1:1 | 2.70% |
£5 a spin, 100 spins: expect to lose about £13.50. Fast Play makes 100 spins a twenty-minute job, so budget by the hour, not the session. Standard rate. No side bets lurking.
No La Partage on this table. Watch out, because the Premium name makes people assume it’s there. It’s on Premium French only.
Limits
Minimum 50p or £1 depending on the source and the operator. Maximum is where it gets messy: £50 on a straight-up with £300 on outside bets per one site, £400 per another, £25 per a third. Not verified. The £50 / £300 pairing is the most detailed report and matches what Playtech sets on its French table, so I’d expect that at most UK casinos. Bigger players will hit the ceiling fast; the live tables go higher.
The Premium family: which one to open
Premium European Roulette
Same 97.30%, same 35:1, same no-La-Partage. The practical difference from Pro is presentation: fewer view options, a simpler screen. Honestly? If both are in the lobby, Pro is the better build and the maths is identical. There’s no reason to prefer European unless you like the plainer layout. Our guide to playing European roulette online covers the single-zero game across providers.
Premium French Roulette
The one worth switching to. La Partage returns half an even-money stake on zero, so red/black, odd/even and high/low run at 98.65% and a 1.35% edge. Everything else stays 2.70%. £5 a spin on red for 100 spins costs you about £6.75 here against £13.50 on Pro. Max even-money stake around £300 (third-party). Full review and where to play French roulette for real money on its own page.
3D Premium Roulette
The HTML5 successor to Playtech’s old Flash 3D Roulette, around August 2018. Big rendered wheel across the bottom of the screen, dealer voice, and the racetrack with Voisins, Tiers, Orphelins and neighbours that Pro lacks. 97.30%, 35:1, no La Partage. Fewer view and colour options than Pro. If call bets matter to you, this is the Premium table to use. Our 3D Roulette review treats the Flash and Premium versions as one lineage.
Premium American Roulette
Mug’s game. Double zero, 94.74%, 5.26% edge for the same 35:1. There’s no reason to open it when Pro sits next to it in the lobby. Our American roulette page explains the five-number bet and why it’s the worst standard bet in roulette.
| Table | Zero | Even-money edge | Racetrack | Pick it for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Roulette Pro | Single | 2.70% | No | Cleanest build, favourites, stats |
| Premium European | Single | 2.70% | No | Nothing Pro doesn’t do |
| Premium French | Single | 1.35% | Yes | Even-money play |
| 3D Premium | Single | 2.70% | Yes | Call bets, big wheel |
| Premium American | Double | 5.26% | No | Nothing |
Who it’s for
Segment B and the plainer end of Segment A. Newcomers get a clear screen, a saved-bet slot for their usual pattern and stats to watch; experienced outside-bet players get a quick, honest wheel. 50p or £1 minimum is fine for learning.
Sector players and anyone who wants the 1.35% should look at the siblings. For a quicker 20p game, 20p Roulette online undercuts the minimum.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Honest 35:1, 2.70%, no side bets
- Best-presented RNG table in Playtech’s range: views, colours, Fast Play, four favourites
- Carried by nearly every Playtech operator in the UK
- Premium French in the same family for the La Partage option
Cons
- No racetrack or call bets; the 2012 Roulette Pro had them
- No La Partage despite the Premium name
- Maximum stake reports conflict; low ceiling for bigger players
- Release date not published by Playtech
Verdict
Sorted, as a default single-zero RNG table. It’s the one I’d open at a Playtech casino if I wanted a clean wheel and nothing else; the maths is as fair as it gets without La Partage and the interface is better than most.
Just don’t let “Premium” do any work in your head. Pro is European roulette with a nicer coat. The sibling with the real advantage is French.

FAQ
What is the difference between Premium Roulette Pro and Premium European Roulette?
Maths: none. Both are single-zero, 35:1, 97.30%. Pro adds two camera views, table colours, wheel direction and up to four favourite bets. Neither has a racetrack or La Partage.
Does Premium Roulette Pro have La Partage?
No. Only Premium French Roulette in the same family applies it, giving even-money bets a 1.35% edge instead of 2.70%. The Premium name on its own doesn’t mean the rule is there.
Can I play Premium Roulette Pro for real money on mobile?
Yes. It’s HTML5 and available at UKGC-licensed casinos with Playtech’s RNG games. Minimum stakes are reported at 50p or £1 depending on the operator.
What happened to the original Roulette Pro?
Playtech released it in June 2012 with one-click call bets. The Premium family replaced it around 2015–2016 and the Pro rebuild dropped the racetrack. If you want call bets in a Playtech RNG table today, use 3D Premium or Premium French.
